Real Madrid will sign either Arjen Robben or Chelsea target Florent Malouda, according to president Ramon Calderon.Chelsea winger Robben has been a prime target for Real since Calderon assumed the presidency at the Bernabeu and reports have claimed an agreement is in place with the Holland international.
The Premier League club have previously poured scorn on the speculation, but the Blues are chasing Lyon ace Malouda, who could fill Robben's position.
The France international, though, is also wanted by Real and Calderon claims one of the wide men will be joining the Spanish champions.
"We like Robben and Malouda," Calderon told the club's official website.
"But they play in the same position and we will only sign one of them."
Malouda stressed on Tuesday that his preference was to join Chelsea ahead of Liverpool, while Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed interest from Real.
With Calderon now acknowledging a wish to sign Malouda, Chelsea may need to move fast to prevent the attacker slipping through their grasp.
