[size=12px]New faces for Juventus' midfield. The club released a statement officially confirming both signings: the Argentinean Sergio Bernardo Almiron arrives from Empoli, and the Portuguese Tiago Cardoso Mendes from Lyon.These new arrivals improve the whole team in every respect (but specifically the midfield department): in terms of quality, quantity, experience and contribution to goal-scoring.
Tiago Cardoso Mendes turned 26 on the 2nd of May. Born in Viana do Castelo, he is the fourth Portuguese footballer to play for the Bianconeri, after Rui Barros, Dimas and Paulo Sousa. He has enjoyed a remarkable career, always playing for the top honours at prestigious clubs such as Benfica, Chelsea and Olympique Lyon, as well as for the Portuguese national team. In the last three seasons, he has won 3 championship titles, one in England (with his fellow countryman José Mourinho as manager) and two in France. Now he intends to continue this trend in Italy: “I'm here to win more trophies - were his first words after he signed the contract. I'm happy about my choice. Juventus are one of the great European clubs, coming here was a dream for me and I've fulfilled it now”.
Almiron on the other hand is already at home in Italy. The 27-year old (his birthday will be in November) has already spent a significant part of his life in the country, where he first arrived, very young, in 2001, signed by Udinese from Newell’s Old Boys. He matured playing in Udine and then Verona, and reached his peak at Empoli, where he made his contribution (also by scoring goals, one of them against Buffon!), gaining promotion to Serie A, avoiding relegation the following season and then memorably qualifying for the UEFA Cup. He is reunited with Iaquinta and his first comments are similar to those of his team-mate: “I'm here to show everyone my worth; I'm ready to face any setbacks. I'll give my best, as I've always done. This is a new beginning for my career, something I'd been waiting a long time for”.[/size]

另外他們亦簽下安玻里的射手阿馬朗加盟，兩宗交易合共花費達二千萬歐元。
兩人均簽約五年。祖雲達斯重返意甲矢志在來季取得成績。
祖雲達斯今夏經己簽得多名好手加盟，包括烏甸尼斯前鋒伊亞昆達，捷克國腳加基拉，另外亦從拜仁慕尼黑簽下沙歷咸美斯。
