Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton are all vying to sign Real Valladolid's highly-rated young goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo after sending scouts to see him play. The English trio have all been impressed by the 18-year-old custodian and could all match his buy-out clause to try and sign him in the summer and Valladolid's president has admitted that he could leave.
Asenjo made his first-team debut for Valladolid on December 2 this year in the victory over Villarreal and his performance in keeping a clean sheet saw him win many plaudits.
With his buy-out clause standing at just ?4.5m, all thre interested parties would be willing to meet that as it would not be seen as a risk for a young player of his ability.
Valladolid supremo, Carlos Suárez, knows that the club would be unable to prevent Asenjo from leaving if an offer comes in,
"We are prepared for any situation and it is not impossible to see that a club may think about paying his buy-out clause," the president admitted.
"We want him to stay here because we will do what is best for him. But his value is continuing to grow."
Along with the English clubs, Asenjo's agent has revealed that several Spanish sides have also shown an interest in the keeper.

"But with his buy-out clause standing at ?4.5m, they have held off. Sergio is going to stay where he is for now."
