The north London outfit are keen to bolster their defence and have included the left-sided Holland international on their list for the winter transfer window.
[/size][size=2][b]Emanuelson's agent, Brian Birkleef, confirmed that he had heard from Tottenham and told them to speak to Ajax about the 21-year-old.
“I have been rung, but I referred them to Ajax,” Berkleef told De Telegraaf.[/b]
Birkleef admitted that if a concrete offer was made then Emanuelson could be tempted to make the switch to the Premier League netx month.
[b]“Yes, he certainly sees a move in January as a possibility," he added.[/b]
Juande Ramos took over at White Hart Lane earlier this season and has made shoring up the defence a priority as he has had to cope with an injury crisis at the back.
Gareth Bale has picked up a knock that will not see him return until at March, while Young Pyo Lee has impressed at left-back but the coach has his doubts as the South Korean is right-footed.
A central defender is also a position which Ramos is looking to bolster and it was thought that he was interest in Espanyol's Daniel Jarque, but the Spanish club's asking price is too high.[/size]
