[size=2]Angulo Hopes Koeman Can Relieve The PressureMiguel Ángel Angulo is hoping that Ronald Koeman's arrival will take the pressure off Valencia after they were hammered at home by Real Madrid on Wednesday evening.
zoom - galleria Los Ché fell to their second consecutive defeat against direct rivals at the top of the table, having been beaten at Sevilla last wekend.
Quique Sánchez Flores was sacked after that game with Koeman quickly being installed as the new and Angulo wants him to make an immediate impact.
“I have only heard about the news recently,” the Spanish international said.
“I hope that he comes to work and helps us start winning because we want to have a coach who allows us to play the next games without the pressure.”
After sinking without a trace against Madrid, Angulo declared that the new coach's arrival would mean that the squad should start all over again.
"We have to start the sesaon from scratch because we have to regain our pride," he explained.
"We all want the players and the fans to come together at this moment."
Reflecting on the defeat by Bernd Schuster's side, Angulo believes that the first couple of goals knocked the wind out of Valencia's sails.
“The first two goals really hurt us,” he added.
“They controlled the ball well, kept possession and caught us on the break. We tried to stop them, but they are lethal weapon when they have spaces."
