Hamburg's Argentinean international Juan Pablo Sorin has denied that he is about hang up his boots due to a knee injury and insists he plans to play for many more seasons.
Sorin has made just 19 appearances for Hamburg in over a year due to a problem with his right knee. However, despite speculation to the contrary the 31-year-old has no plans to retire
"I think that there has been a mistake with the translation of an interview that I gave to a magazine because I never said that I wasn't going to play football any more," said Sorin.
"I have a problem with my knee that hasn't been resolved but it isn't true that there is an infection.
"Maybe all the speculation began because I had a surgery and I didn't recover properly from that.
"I had a review of the injury in Munich and I was told that I needed an arthroscopy. That was done last Monday and I had it explained to me that I would need more than two months recovery time."
Sorin signed for Hamburg in the summer of 2006 after spending two years with Liga side Villarreal. He has been capped 76 times by Argentina.[/size]
